Updated Cygnar Collection
Updated photos of a previously completed project, soon to be listed on Ebay. Not sure of the point total for this collection under the new Mk III rule set, but I believe it was roughly 50 points or so during 2nd ed.

Project Complete
Retribution of Scyrah Warmachine commission, including the new Battlegroup featuring the faction-colored plastics (Gallery Here). I don’t know if Privateer Press has actually changed the process for making their miniatures, but I can’t help but feel as if these plastics were lacking in detail. I suppose the previous plastics were nothing to brag about, and perhaps they are identical to the new faction-colored plastics, but I was not impressed with the quality.
For example, the engraved iconography (runic glowing areas) along flat surfaces is extremely shallow. Mold lines run directly across the inscribed runic patterns on the pauldrons of the Warjacks, which are difficult to properly address without damaging the already limited amount of detail. There often seems to be a clear lack of definition between details and even among main features.
Perhaps this isn’t the result of the actual new plastic kits, as its likely that I’ve just ‘reassessed’ the quality of some of the PP miniatures with the latest batch I’ve had in hand. In fact, the rather shallow amount of detail (or lack-there-of) is not entirely limited to their plastic kits.
I’ve come to recognize the fact that there IS a difference in quality between PP and GW products. While GW’s products are often described as “expensive” for plastic miniatures, I can’t help but recognize the fact that the quality of their offerings are perhaps the best in the industry — especially considering the quality of their new products.
Anyways, just a brief summarization of my thoughts about the quality of PP products.

Searching for Dallas TX Wargamers (12/22/15)
I’m searching for some fellow Wargamers and Hobbyists around north Dallas/Plano Texas. My goal is to connect with individuals who primarily enjoy the HOBBY and NARRATIVE side of wargaming; fielding fully-painted armies on tables full of awesome terrain.
